Spent four years in the W.A.A.F. and was based at headquarters in Perth. She was drafted into the secret service working in conjunction with America. She was a very good typist and teleprinter operator. She was a Lance Corporal and when the war ended her corporal stripes were on their way. She helped direct planes to the airport as the Americans didn’t seem to know at times where the airport was. She was very highly thought of and lots of times didn’t want to go off duty, as she loved her work too much.

She is now in a nursing home in Albany  and I visit her nearly every day as she is too crippled up to feed herself. I have an enduring power of attorney so I can sign papers etc on her behalf.

Husband Len.
